After consulting the host site and the OSHA National Office, we have decided to postpone the scheduled April 2021 SGE Class in Rome, New York due to the current pandemic conditions in the area. Rather than cancel the class, we have rescheduled the Region 2 SGE class for July 27-29th, 2021. The delay will allow some time for the local pandemic conditions to improve. It will also allow more time for the OSHA National Office to develop and deploy a virtual SGE Class platform, so Region 2 should be able to conduct a July 27-29th, 2021 SGE class in some form.

Now some good news. Since we postponed the SGE class, the application deadline has been extended until April 15th, 2021. We already have 13 SGE applicants signed up for this class and we can accommodate some more applicants. So if anyone wants to become a SGE and missed the January 15th, 2021 deadline, you now have more time to submit an application to the SGE Coordinator in Washington, DC and attend the July 27-29th, 2021 SGE Class.
