An upcoming virtual National Integrated Heat Health Information System (NIHHIS) National Meeting on heat and health is happening April 26-28, 2022.
This 3-day meeting has three major themes: Defining the Problem, Building Equitable Community Resilience, and Building Equitable Human Resilience.
The third day, which is also Worker Memorial Day, will include a panel conversation on “How do we keep our workers safe from heat?” featuring speakers from both federal and non-federal partners.
The meeting, hosted by the NIHHIS Federal Interagency Working Group and Steering Committee, brings together multiple stakeholders (federal agencies, state and local government, private and public partners, tribal and community leaders) and is open to anyone who is working to address the health impacts of extreme heat.
