The pandemic conditions in Region 2 have improved to the point where we can safely resume VPP evaluations under certain constraints.  We are contacting sites to schedule overdue VPP evaluations.  We are conducting the VPP evaluations under a hybrid model we piloted last year.  The opening conference, interviews, document review, and closing conference will be conducted remotely using online platforms like Microsoft Teams.  SGEs will be eligible to participate remotely.  Onsite activity will be limited to OSHA personnel performing the walkaround of the site.  This limitation is intended to reduce the VPP footprint onsite and ensure the health of our SGEs.  SGEs will need access to a phone and a computer with an internet connection in order to participate remotely.  Remote-only SGE participation on a VPP Team will count as a SGE-qualifying activity during the pandemic.

Thank you for your consideration to this request.
