Region 2 VPP Sites and SGEs:
NOTICE: Out of an abundance of caution and to accommodate those who are unable to travel, OSHA will temporarily waive the training requirement for new SGEs beyond one year of their application being approved if they are unable to complete the training due to class cancelation. When classes resume, new SGEs would be permitted a grace period reflecting the time period needed to resume their scheduled SGE class. We will continue to monitor the situation related to COVID-19 and follow-up with information about rescheduling these SGE classes in the future.
Due to concerns about COVID-19, Region 2’s scheduled 31 MAR 2020 – 02 APR 2020 SGE Class in Rome, New York was cancelled. If we are able to reschedule the class later in FY2020 at the same location, we will inform everyone ASAP.
FYSA – Region 3 is currently working to reschedule their 27-28 APR 2020 SGE Class, which was scheduled to be held concurrent with the 2020 VPPPA Regions II & III Safety Conference. The conference has been postponed until 20-24 JUL 2020, still at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Pocono Manor, PA ( https://www.vppparegion2.org/2020-conference ).
