2024 VPP Self-evaluation Update

New York City Region VPP Sites: 

"FYSA - The OSHA National Office is planning to have all VPP sites submit their 2024 VPP Self-evaluations using the same online system we have used for the last two (2) years. 

The due date this year will be February 15th, 2025.  OSHA’s Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs (DCSP) plans to schedule a nationwide instructional webinar for all VPP participants (date to be determined).  I will update the NYC Region VPP sites when DCSP schedules their webinar and when the online system is available for the 2024 VPP Self-evaluation submissions.

Note to our six (6) NYC Region VPP sites with processes covered by the OSHA PSM standard:  The due date for your 2024 VPP PSM Supplement B submission is still February 28th, 2024.  The later PSM deadline is to give the PSM-covered sites additional time to complete their PSM Supplement B submission.  Please see the email chain below and the attached XLSX file for more details and instructions.

New York City Region VPP Sites:  There are currently six (6) VPP sites in OSHA’s NYC Region that are known to have PSM-covered chemical processes.

OSHA’s Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs (DCSP) has released the attached 2024 VPP PSM Supplement B spreadsheet template (XLSX file). VPP Sites with PSM-covered processes are required to complete the PSM Supplement B as a part of the annual VPP Self-evaluation. 

• If your VPP Site is one of the six (6) sites listed above, your VPP Site does need to submit a completed 2024 PSM Supplement B. 

• If your VPP Sites in not one of the six (6) VPP Sites listed above and your site has not added a PSM-covered chemical process in 2024, your site does not have to submit a PSM Supplement B. 

• If your VPP Site has added a PSM-covered chemical process in 2024, please contact me ASAP. 

The deadline for PSM-covered VPP Sites to respond to the Supplement B questions is FRI 28 FEB 2025.  NYC Region’s PSM-covered VPP Sites can email the completed spreadsheet to both me and Greta Olsson ( olsson.greta@dol.gov ).

NOTE:  The template has changed since last year, so please be sure to use the attached file.  DCSP will not accept submissions using last year’s template – the current year’s template must be completed if your VPP site has a PSM-covered process, or the submission will be returned to the site for correction.
