"The month of February is upon us and justrecently the groundhog did not see his shadow which may represent the hopes of a short winter. This also serves as a reminder that procrastination is not an option. Our chapter has plenty left to do before Spring gets here. This month we arranged a heart stopping technical presentation about Electrical Safety and the devastating effects of uncontrolled electricity. It’s never too late to ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations. The attendance was quite impressive during our January Technical Meeting. We strongly encourage everyone to RSVP so we can take proper measures to provide everyone and our presenter ample space to network and an area conducive to a great learning experience. We continue to form a strong relationship with neighboring ASSE Chapters and Professional Organizations with the hopes of cementing several activities and collaborations to appeal to the interest of all our members, regardless of their geographical location or level of experience. This issue features topics that are literally very close to our hearts. February is American Heart Month. We are joining the celebration by helping in raisingawareness to this devastating disease that takes the life of millions of Americans.
