Eastern New York Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers is proud to announce the following technical meeting on May 29th, 2016 at the General Electric Global Research facility in Niskayuna, beginning at 3:00 p.m.:
Topic: Intro to Collaborative Robotics Safety & Demonstration
Robots without cages?! The presentation will serve as an introduction to the new robotics standard ANSI/RIA R15.6-2012 with specific attention to collaborative robotic applications and safety requirements. We’ll review the impact of game-changing technology that has been adopted into the standard and explore what an EHS professional needs to consider if their company is thinking of adding collaborative robots to their operations. We’ll also have Baxter from Rethink Robotics for a hands-on demonstration.
