Congratulations to STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies in Whippany, New Jersey! The site was recently approved for New VPP Star participation. The facility has been in operation since 1984 as a sterilization service provider. The facility receives packaged products from their clients, sterilizes the products to client specifications, re-palletizes the packaged products, and then ships the packaged products. The site is the thirteenth STERIS location to achieve VPP Star approval, joining STERIS sites in New York, Alabama, California, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, and Utah. STERIS continues to work with its US-based operations to encourage and assist those sites to work toward and meet the required criteria to apply for VPP participation. OSHA Region II Deputy Regional Administrator Steve Kaplan and Area Director Joseph Czapik from OSHA’s Parsippany Area Office attended the June 26, 2024 ceremony to recognize the site’s accomplishment.
