"The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration Region 2 Compliance Assistance Specialists (CAS) are launching their “OSHA Region 2 Summer of Safety” outreach program, beginning next week. For the next 6 months, we will emphasize specific topics for our stakeholders. Our schedule was designed to incorporate national events such as stand downs. (April – Work Zone Safety; May – Fall Prevention; June- Trenching Safety; July – Warehouse Safety; August- Safe + Sound; and September – Construction Suicide Prevention.) Planned events include a series of “Lunch and Learn” webinars and in-person events, coupled with the extensive use of OSHA’s social media channels to provide stakeholders with resources, information, tools, graphics, and slogans regarding the month’s topic area.
