New Bulletin Provides Information on Chemically Induced Hearing Loss

OSHA has released a new Safety and Health Information Bulletin warning of a potentially serious workplace hazard. "Preventing Hearing Loss Caused by Chemical (Ototoxicity) and Noise Exposure" was published in conjunction with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. This bulletin provides recommendations to employers and safety professionals about identifying ototoxicants in the workplace and establishing hearing conservation programs where these chemicals cannot be replaced.
