Fire in the United States 20th Edition Released
Region 2 VPP Sites:
"Please see today’s U.S. Fire Administration email below. The new report is a statistical portrait of fire in the U.S. The report can be downloaded for free and contains information that can help focus your site’s fire prevention program. It is intended for use by a wide audience, including the fire service, the media, researchers, industry, government agencies, and the general public. Each year, thousands of Americans die, tens of thousands of people are injured, and property losses reach billions of dollars as a result of the U.S. fire problem. To put this into context, the annual losses from floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and other natural disasters combined in the U.S. average just a fraction of those from fires.
Thank you for participating in the Voluntary Protection Program."
