"The COVID-19 crisis has wreaked havoc on our world, our country, our workplaces, communities and ourselves. So far countless people have lost their lives and millions have lost their jobs and cannot pay their rent, mortgage or other bills. There’s no sugar coating it: Many of us are suffering.

The United States has been greatly affected by the pandemic, harboring the most cases and the most deaths. To slow the spread and save lives, most of us have been isolating at home. If your position was considered essential and you worked during the lockdown, you may have noticed even in the work environment, employees are cautioned to stay six feet away. But according to recent polls, this isolation has had a negative impact on our mental health. Calls to mental health hotlines have been surging. In fact, SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) reported an 891% increase in calls from this time last year..."
