Attached is the October 2018 Process Safety Beacon published by the CCPS. The topic of hazardous energy is applicable for many of our VPP sites, not just chemical processing plants. Consider conducting an inventory of all of the hazardous energy sources in your plant as a continuous improvement project under the VPP element of Worksite Analysis. Be sure that everyone at the site understands the operating, inspection, and preventive maintenance systems in place to manage the risk associated with those hazards.
