Since the email below was sent last week, five (5) VPP sites have volunteered to make VPP Opening Conference presentations. There are three (3) more 15-20 minute slots available if you’d like to showcase your site in a conference workshop setting with your VPP peers. Besides being a SGE-qualifying activity, this is an excellent opportunity to practice a new VPP Opening Conference presentation in front of a friendly audience before your next VPP onsite evaluation.

"During the June 26th-28th, 2017 Region 2 VPPPA Conference in Atlantic City, we are going to try a new type of workshop that provides a public-speaking opportunity for everyone. (For conference information: http://www.vppparegion2.org/2017-region-ii-conference )
During a VPP evaluation opening conference, sites typically present information about their site and their safety and health management system to the VPP Team. Many sites prepare PowerPoint presentations and some involve multiple personnel from their site’s safety team. This workshop will give you an opportunity to share the same information about your VPP site with your fellow VPP participants at the conference! Just use the PowerPoint you’ve already prepared for your last VPP evaluation and showcase your site. Each presentation will be 15-20 minutes. And you can involve as many as your safety team members as you’d like.
