Region 2 VPP Sites and SGEs:
"In 2018, covered establishments must submit the injury information from their completed 2017 Form 300A to OSHA by July 1, 2018. Beginning in 2019 and every year thereafter, covered establishments must submit the information by March 2. In an effort to help their fellow VPP participants stay ahead of these requirements, the Region 2 VPPPA Board requested that OSHA deliver a workshop on this topic during the Region 2 VPPPA Summer Safety Forum:
We are pleased to announce that Ms. Valerie C. Struve, Lead Program Analyst and a recordkeeping subject matter expert from the OSHA National Office, will be presenting the workshop. During this workshop, OSHA will explain which establishments are covered and how to submit the data online. The presentation will also cover which cases are OSHA-recordable. At the end of the presentation, there will be a question and answer period for general OSHA record-keeping issues.
Ms. Struve began her OSHA career in 1989 as a Safety and Health Compliance Officer (CSHO) in the Albany, New York Area Office. After 12 years as a CSHO in the field, Ms. Struve went to work in Washington, DC where she acquired extensive knowledge of OSHA's Recordkeeping Regulation Part 1904 and oversaw the Agency's Management Accountability Program. Valerie currently works in the Office of Statistical Analysis in OSHA's Directorate of Technical Support and Emergency Management (DTSEM) in Washington, DC where she serves as the Agency's recordkeeping specialist.
